Our kids deserve the best possible education here in NC.

Roy Cooper for North Carolina

John, with everything going on in the news, and while families and kids are enjoying summer break, I don’t want any of us to forget about what’s happening with North Carolina’s public schools:

Republicans are attacking them through all means possible.

They’re trying to cut funding for public education through the budget while plotting to send YOUR public tax dollars to unaccountable private schools. Meanwhile, they want to take over control of what teachers can teach and students can learn as part of their extremist culture war agenda.

It’s a betrayal of our kids, John, and I won’t stand for it.

We have to break the GOP supermajorities in Raleigh and elect leaders who will fight FOR public education — not against it. I need you to donate whatever you can to help >>>

John, this is a deeply personal issue to me. My mother was one of the best North Carolina public school teachers around. I received excellent education in North Carolina public schools as did all three of our children.

I believe every child deserves an excellent education, no matter where they live or what their parents can afford. And I believe that North Carolina MUST provide that quality of education.

Republicans clearly aren’t on board with strengthening our public schools and ensuring kids and teachers have access to the resources they need. But there are strong Democratic candidates all across this state who share our values about education — they just need our support to win.

Please, give whatever you can to help me work to elect leaders who will fight for kids, teachers, and public schools >>>
