Friends of TFOV,
It’s been an incredibly busy summer of travel over here at TFOV. We hit the ground running during our launch this Spring and haven’t slowed down.
Renee and I spent the week in Washington, D.C. advocating for kids, meeting with members of Congress and spreading the word about our plans for 2024.

→ We were honored to partner with the What to Expect Project in their #BumpDay campaign. The goal of the campaign is to raise awareness about the need for equitable care for every mom, everywhere, and to urge elected representatives to take action to support safe pregnancies and healthy babies.
We know that safe and healthy moms lead to safe and healthy kids. We were able to meet Heidi Murkoff, the author of What to Expect When You’re Expecting. She is an incredible champion for babies and moms on the Hill and will be an important partner for us in our work.
→ We attended a Congressional briefing on maternal mental health and heard from Representatives Young Kim, Robin Kelly and Jimmy Gomez. The conversation was powerful, but Rep Gomez’s son Hodge definitely stole the show!
→ We had another great meeting with an important partner, Brady PAC. They are working diligently to elect champions for gun safety and we are proud to be in this fight with them.
→ We met with our media team to discuss our plans for the coming months. While communication around election time is critical to educate voters, we want to start that work now, so that moms, dads, grandparents and everyone who cares about children begin to see the link between their vote and children’s well-being. Stay tuned!
→ I was able to spend some time at Everytown to discuss my new role there as a Senior Advisor. I’m honored to be a part of the work they are doing to create safer communities for our children.
→ It wouldn’t be a trip to Washington, D.C. without a stop in Rep Kim Schrier’s office. Her office has become our home away from home. We’re so proud of the work she’s doing on the Hill to advocate for kids. Our job is to work as hard as we can to send her a #KidsFirst majority in 2024, so we can build the future our children need.
→ We also had the opportunity to catch up with Rep. Landsman from OH. He’s a former school teacher turned City Councilman turned Congressman.
He has dedicated his entire career in public office to fighting for kids specifically, in the area of early childhood education. We’re proud to call him a friend of Their Future PAC.

Renee and I had an eventful trip home, but are happy to report we are safe and sound back in South Carolina and eager to hit the road again soon to continue our fight for kids.
Thank you for your support. We couldn’t do this without you.
— Annie
