At a recent meeting with faith leaders from around the country, Mike shared how the Chinese Communist Party is rewriting the Bible –– starting with the Ten Commandments –– in an attempt to elevate Xi Jinping to the position of God.

In the CCP-revised version of the Bible, the First Commandment of “Thou shalt have no other gods before me” has been replaced with Xi’s command to “Resolutely guard against the infiltration of Western ideology.”

Religious oppression has been the norm for decades in China, but the CCP’s latest actions demonstrate how determined they are to remove all forms of religion in China that threaten the power of Xi Jinping and the state.

John, actions like these remind us why we must never take our religious freedoms for granted –– and why we must always guard against those who are determined to replace God with government.
