Even before stories like this, I have been urging the Senate to pass my bill, the Secure 5G and Beyond Act, so that we can have a national strategy to protect our telecommunications infrastructure. Without this plan, our families and our businesses are at risk.

Friends, my entire professional life has been dedicated to protecting our national security. Fighting for priorities like this legislation is one of the reasons I came to Congress.
