Learn more about what my office has been up to this week Dear john, On Monday, I was proud to welcome U.S. Secretary of Education Dr. Miguel Cardona to Georgia as we convened a school counselor roundtable with education professionals who live and work in Georgia's Seventh Congressional District. There is much work to be done to help our students, and our community is blessed to be served by so many wonderful school counselors who are working every day to equip students with the tools they need to be successful inside and outside the classroom. Pictured above: Rep. McBath participates in a school counselor roundtable with Secretary Cardona This week, I worked with a bipartisan group of colleagues in the House and Senate to reintroduce our legislation to incentivize pet food donation and support animal shelters. The BARK Act will provide liability protections for pet suppliers that donate food and supplies to animal shelters. Our furry friends deserve all the help they can get, and I look forward to being a champion for this legislation again in the 118th Congress. As summer travel is still in high demand, my office has been busy working with constituents on passport inquiries. Since May, my district office has assisted nearly 300 families in getting their passports in time for summer travel. Do you still have travel coming up this summer? Double check the expiration date of your passport and your travel destination's passport validity requirements! If you find that you need assistance with a passport application or emergency appointment, get in touch with my office at mcbath.house.gov/help or by calling (470) 773-6330. Don't let a passport issue ruin your vacation! Thank you for taking the time to read this update. It is my honor to serve our community in Congress. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch with my office.
