Dear NCRC members and allies,
You know how dire this fight is to protect the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA). Join us at the #TreasureCRA Rally in Washington, D.C., on April 29th as part of our Just Economy Conference ([link removed][UNIQID]) . Stand with us and defend low-and moderate-income communities and people of color. Show the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) that we will not be bullied or intimidated by their ugly attacks.

NCRC members always show up to hold their representatives accountable on Hill Day, but this year the biggest fight isn’t on Capitol Hill. We are taking the fight directly to the OCC to show them the faces of the communities they are attacking. We invite all members and allies to make their voices heard on April 29.

The attacks on CRA aren’t a harmless attempt at simplifying regulations, like they would have us believe. The OCC wants to make it easier for banks to take deposits from our communities and then turn around and refuse to lend to us. They want to give banks the option to lend to a billionaire building a football stadium instead of low- and moderate-income families and minorities. They want to strip CRA of its original purpose to combat banks’ racist redlining practices.

If you haven’t already, register for the Just Economy Conference and help us rally for CRA.
