The Week in Review
Happy Friday!
I hope you had a wonderful week. I am grateful to serve you all in the 118th Congress. Read below to see what I’ve been working on this week.
Public Release of the FD-1023 Form
This week, Senator Chuck Grassley and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer publicly released a document that implicates then-Vice President Joe Biden in one of his son's corrupt business deals.
The document, an unclassified FD-1023 form, contains information from a trusted and credible source. This source has been used by the FBI for over a decade.
The source discloses that Hunter Biden facilitated a business deal for Ukrainian gas company Burisma, a company for which he sat on the board. The CEO of Burisma stated that it cost $5 million to pay one Biden, and that it cost another $5 million to pay another Biden.
In this week’s House Oversight Committee Hearing, IRS whistleblower Joseph Ziegler mentioned that they never received the FD-1023 form for their investigation into Hunter Biden's tax fraud. He also mentioned that they potentially have evidence corroborating the allegations in the document.
I thank Senator Chuck Grassley and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer for releasing these documents, and I look forward to uncovering the truth for the American people.
House Oversight and Accountability Committee Activity
The House Oversight and Accountability Committee held a hearing with two IRS whistleblowers, both agents in the IRS, on the Biden criminal investigation. The whistleblowers corroborated Hunter Biden’s involvement in corrupt business deals with foreign oligarchs.
According to financial records obtained by the Oversight Committee, the Biden family set up over 20 shell companies, most of which were created when Joe Biden was vice president. The whistleblowers confirmed the existence of these companies. Bank records obtained so far by the Oversight Committee show the Biden family, their business associates, and their companies received over $10 million from foreign nationals and their related companies.
Both the Oversight Committee and the agents have confirmed that Hunter, and other Biden family members, received millions of dollars from China, Ukraine, and Romania. IRS whistleblowers also presented evidence of Joe Biden’s knowledge and possible involvement in his family’s business schemes. During my line of questioning, the agents revealed that they understood references to the “big guy,” found in the course of their investigation, to be then-Vice President Joe Biden.
The whistleblowers also discussed the Justice Department’s misconduct throughout the Biden criminal investigation. They testified that they were not allowed to follow evidence that could have led to Joe Biden. When asked about the FBI’s FD-1023 form alleging Joe Biden was involved in a bribery scheme with a foreign executive, both agents confirmed they never had seen or heard of it during the investigation. One went on to say that they had potentially corroborating evidence.
I am thankful to the two whistleblowers for their bravery in coming forward. Our committee relies upon the testimonies of whistleblowers highlighting the corruption of the Biden family and the misconduct of the federal agencies protecting them.

House Judiciary Committee
The House Judiciary Committee held a markup and passed the following out of committee:
H.R. 4250, the Protect Reporters from Exploitive State Spying (PRESS) Act;
H.R. 4639, the Fourth Amendment is Not For Sale Act.
For years, the federal government has inappropriately collected and used Americans’ private information. Federal agencies, including FBI, IRS, DEA, DHS, and CDC, are exploiting legal loopholes to purchase the location data of American citizens, instead of obtaining a warrant. The Fourth Amendment protects American citizens from unreasonable surveillance by the federal government, and no government entity should be allowed to skirt these protections.
The Fourth Amendment is Not for Sale Act, a commonsense bill, of which I am a cosponsor, will close a loophole in the law that currently allows the government to amass endless amounts of data on law-abiding Americans without any oversight. I am grateful to my colleagues for leading this effort and look forward to its passage in the House.
