John —It has been over one year since the Supreme Court
overturned Roe v. Wade and stripped millions of Americans of their right
to choose - a right that had, until that point, existed for almost 50
years.

It’s not hyperbole: we’ve gone back in time. And now, we are facing the
consequences.

Women from across the nation have told us their stories. They have been
forced into ER waiting rooms instead of being able to receive the care
they need at a reproductive healthcare clinic. They have been forced into
traveling across state lines to seek care because their state has totally
banned abortion procedures. Even now, the efficacy of a drug that was
approved by the FDA for over 20 years is now being threatened by a
Trump-appointed judge.

This is unacceptable. Our rights and our freedoms have been attacked, and
the GOP continues to push for more restrictive measures. Even Wisconsin
still has a ban on the books from 1849. That’s why I recently
re-introduced my legislation to restore abortion rights nationwide, the
Women’s Health Protection Act.
This is a necessary step to restore constitutional rights to choose what’s
best for women, and their families, and allow doctors to do the job they
are trained to do without medically unnecessary restrictions.

I am ready to continue being a fighter for women’s health and their most
intimate, personal decisions. This isn't about politics; it’s about saving
lives.
John, we must re-establish protections for abortion access. We
still have a long way to go toward making sure every woman has the freedom
to make her own decisions no matter what zip code she lives in.

I know we can win. And I know that together we can make sure that these
rights are protected and that reproductive healthcare remains just that -
a part of healthcare.

[ [link removed] ]Will you split a contribution between my reelection campaign and No Dem
Left Behind? Just $24 goes a long way to ensure that we can continue
fighting to restore reproductive healthcare rights.

Thank you for standing by me and standing up for the rights of women
across the nation.
