As you know from the flurry of emails and text messages late last month, the end of June marked our quarterly deadline.
We are required by the FEC to publicly disclose what we’ve raised in the past three months. And we’ve certainly been busy over the last quarter!
We’ve added thousands of supporters on our team, including organizations like EMILYs List, sitting Members of Congress such as Rep. Linda Sánchez and Rep. Lois Frankel, and people like you.
We ended the quarter raising more money than any other Democrat in the race. And here’s something I’m proud of: According to this quarter’s report, we received 25% more in grassroots contributions than any other candidate in the field.
This means a lot to me. When I started this campaign to keep CA-47 blue, this is exactly the type of support I wanted -- everyday people chipping in what they can, when they can. We ended with a large fundraising total, but nothing means more to me than the thousands of small dollar donors that joined our team.
Because that’s how we’re going to win next November, John. It’s going to take the support of all of us to beat the National Republican machine and their corporate PAC money.
