Friend –
In pursuit of a more just society, I believe all Americans should have access to four critical freedoms: freedom to learn, freedom to rise, freedom from violence, and freedom to self-govern.
Today, I want to talk a little bit more about that last one.
Our government is meant to be by the people, for the people. But we can’t truly govern ourselves until we’ve addressed how voter suppression, gerrymandering, dark money, and partisanship have poisoned our democracy.
In the Senate, I’m fighting to pass the Freedom to Vote Act to do just that.
This bill would help ensure free and fair elections across the country. It would ban partisan gerrymandering, limit the influence of dark money in political races, and make voting safer and more accessible.
You can become a citizen co-sponsor of the Freedom to Vote Act by adding your name here >>
By protecting and strengthening our democracy now, we can ensure that the United States remains strong for generations to come.
Will you join the coalition of Americans fighting to protect our freedom to vote by signing on now? It only takes a minute to help defend our democracy.
Thank you for your support.
More to come,
Michael
