I was honored to be joined by Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg at the Port Orchard Waterfront to discuss the progress we're making to secure crucial investments for our region.

Together, we secured a $9.4 million federal grant to replace the 48-year-old Port of Bremerton Breakwater!

Investing in our infrastructure is about more than a dollar amount — it's about investing in progress, our community, and economic opportunity. To sign on in support of this project, will you add your name now as a community endorser?

Team, the Port Orchard Marina is more than just a picturesque waterfront; it serves as a lifeline for our local economy, contributing a staggering $10 million annually.

But, the marina has been under threat due to the deteriorating condition of the existing breakwater. This crucial structure is now well beyond its intended lifespan and is currently damaged, placing the marina and surrounding areas at risk.

I could not be more proud to see this crucial investment secured, which will facilitate a complete replacement of the aging breakwater. It will also ensure that the marina is able to operate safely and efficiently for years to come.
