96 Fiscally Responsible Government That Delivers President Joe
Biden has again been stating the repeatedly debunked lie that he has cut
the deficit by $1.7 trillion over the last two years. "Nobody's ever
done that," he'll add.

Now, that part is correct.

The truth is
that he hasn't reduced the deficit at all. In fact, in just a little
over two years of his administration, over $6 trillion has been added to
the 10-year debt projections — now that is something that nobody has
ever done!

And what a contrast to the state of Indiana that is.
Since just 2017, Indiana — under Republican leadership — has paid down
over 31 percent of our state debt and shaved off 30 years of additional
pension payments. At the same time, we've cut income taxes (and
accelerated cuts that will save taxpayers $360 million over the next two
years and over $1.4 billion over the next seven years), eliminated other
taxes like the utility service tax, and returned over $1.5 billion to
Hoosiers. And last week, the state announced a healthy $2.9 billion in
reserves (most of which is contained in emergency accounts) that will
help us weather any economic storms that may come.

And just this past
session, we made historic investments in public safety, education,
physical and mental health, quality of life, and more.

Here in
Indiana, fiscally responsible government is delivering.

Sincerely,
Chairman Kyle Hupfer

Holcomb's Week That WasA New Beginning for a Century-old Building
Governor Eric Holcomb helps cut the ribbon at the opening of the new
Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion at the state fairgrounds.
Governor Eric Holcomb joined other state and agricultural leaders
yesterday to finally cut the ribbon on the Indiana State Fairgrounds’
new Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavillion.
The indoor complex is the
result of a multi-year renovation of the century-old swine barn. What
he’s saying: “This is what Indiana is all about, where so many people
from walks and terrains come together and say, ‘How are we going to do
the best job possible,'” said Gov. Holcomb. “How will we have a
multiuse, world-class place that serves 92 different counties
year-round?”
“Our students are going to be able to learn and grow and
develop here, and a lot of memories will be made along the way," he
added. In addition to holding livestock events, the new Pavilion will
also house sporting competitions. The building will be open to the
public beginning next week, at the start of the Indiana State Fair.

New York Post: Column: Joe Biden Hit Hard in Whistleblower
Hearing — by Democrat Dan Goldman From the
[link removed] New York Post:

"One of the
most basic lessons that we teach law students is that you should 'never
ask a question you don’t know the answer to.' The peril of the poorly
crafted question was on display in Wednesday’s hearing with two
whistleblowers on political interference in the Hunter Biden
investigation.
"Most Democrats avoided any questions on the substance
of the allegations, focusing instead on everything from systemic racism
to the use of the term 'two-tiered system of justice' and, of course,
Donald Trump.
"Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) often goes where wiser members
fear to tread. On this occasion, Goldman may have delivered one of the
most damaging moments for the Democrats."

Half of Indiana Democrat Congressional Delegation Votes
Against Support for Israel Half of the Indiana Democrat Party's
congressional delegation — that is, one of just two — joined members of
the far-left "Squad" earlier this week to vote against a one-sentence
resolution in support of Israel.
The resolution that stated Israel "is
not a racist or apartheid state," "rejects all forms of antisemitism
and xenophobia," and declares that the U.S. "will always be a staunch
partner and supporter of Israel." Part of the 2%: Indiana Democrat Rep.
André Carson was one of just nine members of Congress — all of whom
were Democrats — to vote against the resolution.
In 2018, Rep. Carson

saying: "We are calling on the Indiana Democrat Party to denounce Rep.
André Carson’s anti-Israel vote, and for Rep. Carson to explain exactly
which part of the resolution he disagreed with,' stated Luke Thomas,
press secretary for the Indiana Republican Party. "Does he believe that
Israel is a racist and apartheid state? Does he not reject all forms of
antisemitism and xenophobia? Does he not want the U.S. to be a staunch
partner and supporter of the homeland of the Jewish people?"

  Vice President Kamala
Harris Makes Political Stop in Indianapolis for Luncheon, Word Salad on
MenuVice President Kamala Harris made a political stop in Indianapolis
yesterday to galvanize voters ahead of the 2024 election and "continue
her leadership," according to the White House.
Vice President Harris
is the most unpopular vice president well ...

ever, with a net negative rating of -17. In response to whatever the
White House meant, Chairman Kyle Hupfer released the below statement on
the vice president's record of “leadership”:

“Vice President Kamala
Harris doesn’t just deliver word salads but failed leadership, too.
“Since being named ‘border czar’ by President Biden over two years ago,
the U.S. has seen a historic humanitarian crisis at the southern
border, with a record number of encounters and more than 1.4 million
illegal immigrants escaping into the country. At the same time, record
amounts of fentanyl and other illicit drugs are pouring into the
country, wreaking havoc on communities, including here in Indiana.
“In leadership, Vice President Harris has failed. And her visit
[yesterday was] just another reminder of that.”
 Legislators
Assigned to Summer Study Committees State legislators have been
assigned to interim summer study committees ahead of the 2024
legislative session.
Study committees are comprised of members of the
Senate and House of Representatives and will meet over the coming
months to discuss topics recently approved by the Legislative Council.
What they're saying: Speaker of the House Todd Huston and Senate
President Pro Tem Rod Bray announced the appointments last week.
"Whether it's continuing to bring down the costs of health care or
boosting our workforce, our goal is to identify challenges and
opportunities so we can hit the ground running in January," said
Speaker Huston. "I'm incredibly excited at the prospect of streamlining
Indiana's tax structure. At the same time, we are going to continue
looking for ways to lower the cost of health care for Hoosiers, review
our high Medicaid expenditures and ensure we have a road-funding system
that is built for the future," noted Pro Tem Bray. To see what topics
will be studied, click

Despite President Biden's recent claim to the
contrary, costs are not “lower” under his administration. In fact,
“Bidenomics” has led to a [link removed]

The facts: On a year-over-year basis, inflation under President Biden
