We’re getting closer and closer to calling the nation’s first Article V convention, where the states will propose constitutional amendments with the teeth to rein in the federal government. 

Imagine a country where we have real economic freedom, stability, security, and a healthy economy.

Imagine a country where we have a government that is efficient, effective, and accountable to its people.

Imagine a country where you’re in control of your own life, and where you make the decisions for yourself and your family.

John, you and I both know that D.C. politicians will never give us those things. If we believe that our children deserve a country with an accountable government that operates as we imagine it should — it’s up to us to use the solemn responsibility entrusted to us in Article V to force the feds back into their constitutional box. 

We are making tremendous progress at doing just that:

• The Article V Resolution has now passed in 19 states;

• We now have over 5.3 MILLION grassroots supporters spread across every state legislative district in the nation;

• We are receiving widespread media coverage from patriots like Mark Levin, Ben Shapiro, Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, Fox News, Newsmax, and many more; and

What’s more, our sister organization, Convention of States Foundation (COSF), is preparing to host the second-ever Article V Simulated Convention this August in historic Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia!

All this is exciting and encouraging -- but it’s also time for us to seize this momentum and push forward harder than ever before!

I think it’s only fitting that the next major Article V event will take place in Williamsburg. 

After all, it’s where George Washington convened the Continental Army to plot the Battle of Yorktown, the turning point of the Revolutionary War. It seems only fitting that we should convene in this location once again as we plot the turning point in our modern day battle for liberty. 

With faithful support from friends like you, COS Action is building and strengthening an ever-growing state legislator network while educating them on how the power of Article V can be used safely and effectively to rein in the federal government and preserve the future of our great nation.

And through our media outreach efforts, we’re reaching thousands of concerned Americans every month and showing them how “We the People” can, among other things:

++ re-establish the checks and balances between the executive, judiciary, and legislative branches of the government;

++ ensure federal balanced budgets are enacted in a timely manner each year (without increasing taxes);  

++ enforce term limits on both Congress and the judiciary -– including the Supreme Court;

++ shrink the size and power of the federal government (this could include eliminating entire departments and agencies like the IRS, EPA, Commerce, Energy, and Education); and

++ end federal programs like Common Core that impose mandates on towns, schools, and communities across the country.

Only an Article V Convention can accomplish these things ... and with your generous partnership, we will continue to edge ever closer to making this Convention a reality.
