Friends —
I recently led progressives in Congress in introducing the next phase of Green New Deal legislation, the Green New Deal for Health, as well as reintroducing the original Green New Deal resolution.
Now it’s time for us to jump start this grassroots movement for bold, intersectional climate action with fresh momentum. That’s why I’m asking you for $5 today.
$5 because we can’t pass our Green New Deal priorities without a committed movement of regular folks on the ground who are putting pressure on our leaders to take urgent action.
$5 because building that committed movement requires raising the resources we need to organize, and our campaign has been doing that work since day one.
$5 because our July fundraising deadline closes in a little over a week, and we are unfortunately behind where we need to be to reach our goals.
If we fail to meet our goals, we risk sending a message that this movement isn’t as strong as it once was — that the groundswell of support we need to pass the Green New Deal just isn’t there. We can’t afford to send that message. We have to step up. Because we can make the Green New Deal a reality, but only with your help.
So please,
Make a $5 contribution today and help us continue to build the movement for a Green New Deal. Every dollar counts as we approach our July fundraising deadline. [[link removed]]
