Friend, as an independent medical humanitarian organization, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)’s lifesaving work is powered by individuals like you. As someone who has shown a genuine interest in our work, we wanted to extend an offer to you that provides special access to the latest issue of our exclusive magazine, Alert. We’re highlighting just a few of the 110 million stories of those who have been forced to flee their homes. This is a special opportunity to access a benefit normally reserved for our monthly donors, also known as Field Partners. Read on to learn how MSF is meeting the needs of displaced people from around the globe, and the unique challenges families face when they’re forced to leave everything behind.
110 million people around the world have been forced to flee their homes. That’s 110 million people who have been forced to leave behind most of their belongings, carrying only important documents, family heirlooms, or simply the clothes on their backs. That’s 110 million people who have escaped violence, persecution, and more. And every one of these 110 million people has their own unique story to tell.
Wherever people are forced to flee, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is there to provide medical humanitarian aid. Our teams treat injuries, provide emergency supplies, offer psychological care, and much more. We also listen to the stories of our patients—stories of hardship, but also of resilience. You can read some of their stories in our latest issue of Alert.
Within the summer issue of Alert, you’ll hear about the remarkable journeys and hardships faced by refugees, migrants, and displaced individuals. Join us as we highlight the stories of our patients who have been displaced by violent conflict in Sudan, who have traveled on foot through Central America and Mexico to seek asylum, and more. You’ll also hear stories directly from MSF staff members who have experienced displacement themselves. We invite you to embark on a journey of empathy and understanding by exploring the remarkable stories featured in this edition of Alert.
Your support is why MSF teams are able to provide care for people forced to flee their homes around the world. Thank you for being a vital part of our global movement to provide urgent medical care where it is needed most.
