<[link removed]>John,

Hey, it's Al Franken.

I’m writing because I want you to split $25 or whatever you can (or more than you can) between Mission: Democracy and my friend Josh Riley to help him win one of the most important races in the country in 2024. <[link removed]>

Here’s why I support Josh — and why you should too!

Josh knows policy issues backward and forward. Together Josh and I did good stuff when he was my counsel on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee – good stuff like protecting victims of domestic violence.

In the Violence Against Women Act, Josh and I wrote a provision that protected survivors of domestic violence from homelessness. And Josh and I got that protection through a divided Senate, a Republican House, and signed into law.

Republicans lie and say Josh was bad on crime, but here’s the truth. Josh and I advanced legislation that funded the police! Providing bullet-proof vests for local and state police. And funding crisis intervention training to teach police officers how to de-escalate situations.

Together in the Senate, we also made a lot of Republican witnesses look very bad at hearings when we cross-examined them.

Josh really, really cares about all the stuff I care about. And he is the hardest worker I know.

And finally, this tossup seat is considered one of the most competitive in the nation.

So, what do you say? Will you join me by splitting a contribution between Mission: Democracy and Josh’s campaign today? <[link removed]>

<[link removed]>DONATE NOW >> <[link removed]>This is important to me -- and to our nation.

Thanks,

Al
