I knew this was coming, Team. Former president Donald Trump is spreading lies and I need to set the record straight.

Yesterday, Team Trump released a video titled “ Rescuing America’s Auto Industry from Joe Biden’s Disastrous Job-Killing Policies .” The video was full of false claims, a trend we have come to expect from the former president.

In his video, Trump didn’t mention the 200,000 manufacturing jobs he lost, the decreased automotive sales his policies caused, or the environmental regulations and pollution standards he tried to gut. He also failed to mention the 800,000 new good-paying U.S. manufacturing jobs created under the Biden administration and the wave of innovation led by our nation as a leader in the clean energy and electric vehicle industries.

If you know me, you know I’m a car girl. And as a car girl, I can tell you that the automotive industry has only gotten stronger since President Biden took office. Will you chip in today so I can reach voters and set the record straight before Election Day? [[link removed]]

Trump is again relying on misinformation and false claims to win an election, just as he has always done. This isn’t someone who is going to fight for workers' rights. He’s not someone who will fight for their benefits, pensions, or higher wages for working Americans. He won’t fight for their health care. He won’t fight for their families.

We can’t let Trump make these false claims to Michigan voters without setting the record straight. Team Dingell is already building our voter outreach program so we can reach voters with the facts before Election Day next year.
