It’s so bad reporters believe it is safer in Afghanistan than our nation’s
capital.

Friend,
My heart broke when I read this news story. It hit too close to home for me.
Nasrat Ahmad Yar worked with the U.S. military as an interpreter in
Afghanistan for a decade before coming to America to give his family a life of
peace and safety.
The father of four survived the dangers of Afghanistan, only to be shot in
cold blood while working for a ride-share in Washington, D.C.
I couldn’t help but think, what if he was one of the many brave interpreters
that helped on our missions?
On my final mission in the U.S. Army, the evening when I lost my legs in an
IED explosion, one member of our team was an Afghan interpreter. I remember he
was so dedicated to our cause that one time, when his shoes got stuck in the
mud, he refused to hold us back, and he finished the mission barefoot. He had a
young son and daughter. He fought alongside us and was a friend to America.
I used to fear that one day I would turn on the news and watch one of our
interpreters get beheaded on TV. With Biden empowering the Taliban, it seemed
like a very real possibility.
But never did I imagine a scenario like this.
To escape terrorism, flee to America for freedom, and be shot dead while
working an honest job to provide for your family is an unimaginable tragedy.
This kind of criminal behavior cannot run unchecked. We have to stand for
public safety and stop dangerous criminals. Apparently, the only way to do that
is tokick D.C.’s Democrats out of power who refuse to do anything about crime
in this city and cities across the country.
I hope you’ll have my six as I go up against them to fight to preserve the
American Dream and restore our country to all its glory. If you’re able, please
contribute any amount today to help us do just that:
