John, it’s Chrissy. You know me – I try to see the best in everyone and work hard to lower the temperature of our politics.

That’s been really hard lately as I’ve watched my colleague Senator Tommy Tuberville single-handedly hold up the promotions in our military because he’s mad at President Biden.

Why is he mad? Because after SCOTUS overturned Roe, President Biden announced the military would provide leave and pay for the travel costs for any woman in uniform needing reproductive care not available in the state where the military stationed her. Sen. Tuberville says he is stopping promotions until this policy is reversed.

Can you sign your name and tell Sen. Tuberville to stop putting politics ahead of national security?

With over 250 promotions stalled and critical positions going vacant – including the Marine Corps’ highest-ranking officer who is also a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff – Sen. Tuberville is putting our national security at risk. Military leaders are already reporting an impact on retention and recruitment for our all-volunteer military.

My colleagues and I have tried to talk to him, but he won’t budge on this. And so, I’m coming to supporters like you.

Please, can you sign your name and tell Sen. Tuberville to stop putting politics ahead of national security? With new threats every day, we can't afford to keep our best from performing the work they need to do.

It’s critical to our security that we stop this holdup as soon as possible, so I’m counting on your urgent feedback.

There’s work to be done,
Chrissy
