John—
The gun lobby is relentless. For decades, the NRA and other extreme gun rights organizations have funded politicians and actively worked to make this country less safe.
As gun violence rises, the gun lobby blames underserved communities and mental illness—anything but guns. After mass shootings with assault weapons, they buy more ads for those very same assault weapons. When states pass lifesaving gun laws, they shop around for sympathetic right-wing judges to entertain their bad-faith legal challenges. The gun lobby is working on every front to undermine our safety, but we’re fighting them every step of the way.

In May, Giffords Law Center joined other groups in filing a wrongful death lawsuit in response to the racist mass shooting at Tops Friendly Markets in Buffalo last year. We also filed a lawsuit a few weeks ago on behalf of Philadelphia to hold two ghost gun companies accountable.
Our attorneys aren’t stopping there. A year after the Supreme Court’s dangerous Bruen decision, we published a memo analyzing the Second Amendment challenges courts have faced and found that despite the confusion surrounding the ruling, courts are still upholding many gun laws against Second Amendment challenges. We’re also preparing for United States v. Rahimi, the next major Second Amendment case before the Supreme Court.
Please contribute today to be a part of the movement to save lives.
Giffords Law Center has been at the forefront of the fight for gun safety laws, and we won’t rest until we’ve put an end to this epidemic once and for all. Stopping gun violence is a matter of life and death—and we’re on a mission to save as many lives as we can.
All the best,
Adam
PS: The easiest way to continue to fund our legal work is to set up a recurring donation to Giffords Law Center, for as little as a few dollars each month.
