Over the course of their nine-month program, our 10 Ambassadors made huge strides for education and action in their communities through the WE CAN (Water Equity and Clean Air Now) campaign that they created and ran.
They hosted 21 presentations for high school students, college clubs, community organizations, and more. They held four town halls about water equity and clean air with local electeds and partner organizations, as well as participated in a toxic tour to raise awareness about pollution inequities in their community.
They were also able to speak directly to government agencies, supervisors, and legislators about their communities’ environmental concerns.
And by the end, they sent over 30,000 recruitment texts and brought nearly 150 volunteers into their WE CAN campaign!
As successful as this program was, we’re even more ambitious for next year. We’re hoping to expand the program to even more future climate leaders, but the only way we can do that is with your support.
Friend, watch our video to see how these 10 youth climate advocates moved the needle on climate justice, then make a small gift to help sponsor an Ambassador in the next cohort →
Thank you for making our work possible.
