We need to redouble our work to defeat this monster in November. John, She really is a piece of...work...Lauren Boebert. A video from a father who lost his 7-year-old son in the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas has recently gone viral. The key person featured in the video? Of course: Lauren Boebert. With a photo of his son behind him, Brett Cross looks directly at the camera and tells the story of Boebert coldly ignoring parents and survivors of the absolutely horrific mass murder. Ana Rodriguez, a mother who lost her 10-year-old daughter Maite in the shooting, gave Boebert a letter she had written, along with a small green pin. The letter described the crushing loss that she has felt since her daughter was taken from her. The pin was a pair of green Converse sneakers with a little pink heart drawn on the toe of the right shoe—just like the ones Maite wore. Ms. Rodriguez’s letter closed with a request for Rep. Boebert to ban assault weapons like the one that ended her daughter’s life in such an unspeakably brutal way. You can imagine how it felt when 10 seconds later, she saw the Congresswoman unceremoniously pitch the pin and the letter into the trash. Lauren Boebert is so toxic, and so extreme in her politics, that a basic civil dialogue with survivors, victims, and families about gun violence in this country isn’t even possible with her. We’re feeling pissed off, sad, and angry at the disrespect shown to those parents and the memory of kids like Maite. This is a new low, even for a deranged maniac like Boebert. But we're also doubling down on our commitment to throw Boebert out of Congress, once and for all. You can bet that we will be working harder than ever to make sure Lauren Boebert’s career ends up in the trash, where it belongs. And we are hopeful and optimistic that this will happen with thousands of supporters like you standing with us through it all. Thank you. -The Colorado Turnout Project Team P.S.
