John,
At the end of this month, Medicare will be 58 years old.
Over 58 years, generations of Americans have paid in to Medicare’s trust fund, and received the certainty of guaranteed health care after they retired. But that health care is under threat like never before.
The stealth privatization of Medicare is already underway. And health insurance corporations who run private Medicare plans make their money the same way that they do in the rest of America’s broken healthcare system: Delay and deny care, even if it kills people.
This year for Medicare’s anniversary, Social Security Works is launching a campaign to urge the President to kick bad actors out of our Medicare system and keep Medicare’s promise of guaranteed care! Can you donate $7 to fund this campaign?
We’re bringing allies together in this fight to strengthen Medicare and protect seniors from greedy corporations. On July 30th, we’ll be outside the White House with Medicare for All advocate Ady Barkan and Be a Hero. But this is more than a public campaign―we’re meeting every day with senators and representatives who can rein in the bad actors.
Together, we’re going to win. It all starts today.
Can you donate $7 to Social Security Works to protect Medicare from corporate greed?
Thank you,
Michael Phelan Social Security Works
