john — For every step forward we make when it comes to reproductive health care, the right wing pulls us another two steps back.

The Good: Last week, the FDA approved the first over-the-counter birth control pill. The availability of this medication at pharmacies would go a long way toward making reproductive health care more accessible to everyone.

The Bad: The House of Representatives passed its annual defense bill with a provision banning the Department of Defense from paying for travel for abortion-related services for members of the military. Fortunately, this amendment stands no chance in the Senate (thank goodness for our Democratic majority!).

The Ugly: The Republican Governor of Iowa signed into law what amounts to an outright ban on abortion. It’s just plain dangerous, and I’m doing everything I can to make sure abortion access is safeguarded at the federal level.

Can you chip in to support our work to ensure that reproductive rights are restored to every American and abortion becomes safe, legal, and accessible for all? [[link removed]]

As the only Senator to have worked at Planned Parenthood, I’ve seen first-hand how important it is for women to make their own health care decisions. I’ll always fight for our autonomy, and I’m doing everything in my power in Congress to ensure reproductive rights are restored as a freedom afforded to all.

But our ability to protect abortion access is contingent on expanding the Supreme Court, abolishing the filibuster, and defending our fragile Democratic Senate majority.

I’m committed to doing all of these things — because when it comes to protecting reproductive rights, I will never ever back down.

john, can you pitch in today to support our work to restore and expand abortion access? [[link removed]]
