Dear Neighbor, I hope you are well! I wanted to take this opportunity to update you on happenings in the district as well as Harrisburg.

Pennsylvania’s 23/24 Budget Update

At this time, the PA Senate has not returned to Harrisburg to formally accept the 2023-2024 budget that was passed by the PA House of Representatives. With their return to session not scheduled until September 18th, the budget cannot make its way to Governor Shapiro's desk for his signature. In the meantime, the funds cannot be released to the state agencies, nonprofits, organizations, state-related universities, etc., who are awaiting them to keep operations moving smoothly. Over these next couple of months, I will keep you updated on the impacts anticipated by this inaction.

Thank you to all who made it out to the annual shred event on Saturday, July 15th at Norristown Area High School. The NASD school district graciously permitted us to use the high school again this year to provide constituents with three shred trucks to dispose of sensitive documents in real time.

Many, many thanks to the following people for working the event in the extreme heat, and for assisting hundreds of people between 9am and 12pm:

• The district office staff of Leader Matt Bradford's office
• The district office staff of my office
• The Jefferson Fire Department Fire Police
• The Jefferson Fire Department (who were on the scene within minutes when one of the shred trucks experienced a contained fire)
• The custodial staff of Norristown Area High School
• The West Norriton Police Department, for lending us traffic cones

Summer Collection Drive

ICYMI: My 2023 Summer Collection Drive is now live!

My office is collecting crucial items to donate to Daily Bread Community Food Pantry and St. James Outreach House like laundry detergent, personal care items, paper products, school supplies, canned meals, juice pouches, and school snacks.

Please drop off items to my district office at 35 Evansburg Road, Collegeville, PA 19426.
