It’s official: Eric’s GOP opponent is self-funding his campaign.

We suspected this might be the case, but now we have the receipts: a new FEC filing shows our opponent has loaned himself over $40,000.

In contrast, Eric runs a grassroots campaign in IL-17 that relies on thousands of individual supporters – folks like you. Will you chip in to help us keep pace with our wealthy, self-funding opponent?

This news is concerning because there is no legal limit on the amount our opponent can loan himself. Remember: we already know national GOP groups will funnel huge amounts of dark money into attack ads against Eric. Now, we have to contend with our opponent’s deep pockets.

His loan to the campaign is twice as much as what he collected from donors – showing an absolute lack of grassroots support! The good news is that we clearly have the on-the-ground advantage, BUT we must tap into that to keep up.
