Hello Neighbors,  

Thank you to everyone who was able to make it to the Saint Paul premiere screening of “It’s Basic,” featuring Saint Paul families enrolled in our first guaranteed income program. 

I am excited to be carrying the bill to bring this pilot program statewide. We would be the first state in the country to do it statewide! 

The importance of a guaranteed income program for Minnesotans is twofold: 


* It would provide economic security for families who are struggling to make ends meet. The guaranteed income would give families a predictable source of income, which would help them to pay for basic necessities, such as rent, food, and transportation. This would free up families to focus on other important things, such as education, job training, and healthcare. 
* It would stimulate the economy. When families have more disposable income, they are more likely to spend it, which would help to boost businesses and create jobs. This would benefit all Minnesotans, not just those who receive the guaranteed income. 

I believe that a guaranteed income program is a common-sense solution that would make a real difference in the lives of Minnesotans. I am committed to working to make this program a reality.
