Enough is enough. The onslaught of tragedies we've seen in communities across the country this year – and for more than two decades – should be more than enough reason for us to take action and put policies in place that will help prevent mass shootings. But, infuriatingly, we’ve seen exactly what happens when Republicans stick their heads in the sand and refuse to act. Time and time again, they’ve stood in the way of Laws that will help save American lives. Will you sign our petition demanding that the GOP finally do what is right and work with us to prevent gun violence? Too many lives are at stake. Gun violence is a disturbingly American problem – and we know we can do more. We’ve seen it from the example of peer countries like Australia, the United Kingdom, and Canada: stricter gun laws lead to fewer gun deaths. We couldn’t do it after Sandy Hook. After Aurora. After Parkland. I hope that we can finally get this done now. Ban assault weapons. Enforce background checks. End the violence. We can’t afford to wait any longer.
