Hi, John, it's Lauren, Colin's national finance director, with a quick update on our $100,000 goal. Donations have really slowed, and I'm getting worried.

Democrats came so close to defeating Ted Cruz in 2018 (he won by just 2.6%!). And in 2022, 9.6 million registered Texas voters didn't vote. 

That's why contacting voters is so important: The extra phone calls, doors knocked, and rides to the polls are how we're going to win this thing. We have to convince every voter to cast their ballot.

But CBS News analysts say this could be "one of the most expensive and closely watched races of 2024," and Colin's not taking money from special interests or corporations. He's counting on grassroots supporters like you to chip in whatever you can, whenever you can, to power this campaign to victory.
