President Joe Biden and his Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are pushing to phase out gas-powered cars in favor of battery-powered electric vehicles. This is not a drill, John! <[link removed]>



The proposed rule aims for 60% of all vehicles sold in the U.S. to be battery-powered by 2030, and 67% by 2032. This is a drastic increase from today's 6%. <[link removed]>



This means your choice to drive a gas-powered vehicle could be taken away in just a few years! <[link removed]>



Such a change would not only limit your freedom of choice, but it will also hit your pocketbook hard. Electric vehicles are often far more expensive than their gas-powered counterparts. <[link removed]>



Consider this: The electric version of America's best-selling vehicle, the Ford F-150, costs $26,000 more than the base gas model. To make up for this extra cost, you'd have to drive your electric F-150 for over 20 years. However, the average electric car's battery won't last more than 12 years. Does this sound like a good deal to you, John? <[link removed]>



But it gets worse. <[link removed]> This transition to electric vehicles could lead to increased dependence on China, the leading source of minerals needed to create batteries. Plus, with the EPA's new rule requiring power plants to sequester 90% of their carbon emissions, electricity costs are set to skyrocket, making these vehicles even less cost-effective.
