With the Illinois Supreme Court's decision yesterday to uphold the Pretrial Fairness Act, no cash bail will go into effect in September.

Ending cash bail will do nothing to curb violence and legitimizes rogue prosecutors who put so-called 'social justice' before the safety of victims. ([link removed])

Having served as Chief of the Knox County Sheriff’s Auxiliary Department, I have tremendous respect for the dedication and sacrifices made by the police officers in our communities and will always have their back.

As your next Congressman, my first priority is keeping your family safe. I will continue to meet with members law of enforcement to listen to their concerns and find out how we can work together and provide them the resources they need to keep our communities safe.

As leaders, we should be empowering officers with the funding and support they need, not creating even more obstacles to stop the rise in crime.
