When Michigan Republicans don’t like the outcome of an election, they try to change it in their favor instead of upholding the will of the people. Need proof?
This week, extremist Republicans announced they are launching baseless recall efforts against Democratic state House members. Recalls are a tool for voters to hold politicians accountable, not for extremists to change the results of an election that didn’t go in their favor.
That’s not all, Team. This week, Attorney General Dana Nessel filed felony charges against 16 Republicans who were involved in Trump’s fake elector scheme to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
Republican extremists are trying at every turn to undermine our democracy and the voice of voters. It’s un-American.
Meanwhile, Michigan Democrats are celebrating after the Governor signed a voting access and voting rights bill package that will protect our right to vote and our elections.
In 2024, we need to reject Republican extremism once and for all. There is too much on the line to sit back as they attempt again and again to destroy our democracy, our elections, and our state.
