John,

Conversion "therapy" has been shown to pose serious health risks, and we should be protecting all of our children, including those who identify as LGBTQ, instead of subjecting them to a dangerous practice.

Yesterday I signed an executive order preventing taxpayer money being used this practice.

It’s one more step in our journey together to end discrimination in all its forms across North Carolina. And I will keep fighting the Repulican legislature for a law that bans conversion "therapy" altogether, with or without tax money.

John, I know right-wing opposition to my executive order will be inflammatory. If you agree with me there should be no state money for conversion "therapy", will you take a moment and sign our petition? >>

We cannot allow conversion "therapy" proponents to continue peddling this dangerous and discredited practice.

North Carolina is a welcoming state, and conversion "therapy" has no place in our state.

Sadly, some right-wing voices are already having issues with this action. That’s why I’m asking you, John, to stand with me to show we oppose discrimination in all its ugliness wherever it may be found >>

Thanks for all you continue to do for our state,

Roy
