John: Tomorrow is my father’s birthday. 

I’m sure my dad will celebrate with a scoop of peach cobbler at some point tomorrow (as he usually does), but I know something else he’d really like for his birthday:

A birthday card with your name on it, John.

I’m fortunate to have an incredible role model as my father. He’s fought for justice and equality since before I was born. He got involved in our country’s Civil Rights Movement at a young age and has never stopped fighting for what’s right and to make sure every voice is represented and heard in Washington.

I want to make sure my dad hears how much we appreciate all he does for South Carolina and our country, and I noticed you haven’t signed his card yet, John.

We’re planning to give the card to my dad before the end of the day tomorrow. Will you sign your name before then?
