Folks, the new congressional map in Alabama is due tomorrow. Can you rush a donation right now to support our grantees fighting to ensure a fair and just redistricting process?

Last month, the Supreme Court struck down Alabama’s original map for violating the Voting Rights Act because it racially gerrymandered districts to exclude Black Alabamians.

This week, Alabama’s governor called for a special legislative session to draw up a new map that more accurately represents Black Alabamians.

But the same Republican lawmakers who contributed to the first gerrymandered map are involved in drawing up this new one. The new map they proposed this Monday is still biased against Black Alabamians.

That’s why our grantees in Alabama are working non-stop to demand transparency and justice before tomorrow’s map submission deadline.

There isn’t much time left. Folks, if you can, please contribute today so that we can do everything in our power to make sure this new map — which will impact the next decade of elections — is drawn fairly.

Thank you so much,
