Indonesia’s "Orangutan Capital" is being bulldozed at a record speed, because profit-hungry corporations are insatiable when it comes to cheap palm oil.

But we could change the entire industry, making it sustainable and safer for the rainforests – with your help.

Procter & Gamble is one of the biggest buyers of palm oil and failing to act on its deforestation commitments – despite consumers, shareholders, and even the founders' own family demanding the company steps up. 

Its annual shareholder meeting is coming up and we've got a plan to ramp up the pressure on the consumer goods giant from now until then. If you chip in even a small amount, we can run an all-out campaign to dismantle its greenwashing machine, target key executives, shareholders and employees, run polls, ads and stunts all at the same time so ignoring won't be an option anymore.

Once a big name like Procter & Gamble succumbs to our pressure, it could trigger a domino effect that would transform the entire industry towards something more sustainable for the rainforests.

Half of the products that line our supermarket shelves contain palm oil – and the vast majority of shampoos, toothpastes and detergents have it in them, because that’s what makes them smooth, foamy and, well, do their job. Palm oil demand is predicted to nearly double in the next decade!

Procter & Gamble is the No. 1 trusted maker of these consumer goods in the US, with globally-known brands such as Head & Shoulders shampoo or Crest toothpaste. And while its greenwashing machines are hard at work, it falls way behind when it comes to its actual commitment to protect our planet’s last pristine forests and all the beings who depend on them.

But if we run a massive campaign exposing P&G’s palm oil sourcing to rainforest destruction and land grabs, we have a real chance at transforming the industry from the inside. We will poll P&G’s employees on its dirty palm oil secret and force-start a conversation within the company, run multiple digital tactics targeting P&G’s shareholders and investors, and pull off exciting stunts that the public (and P&G’s execs) won’t forget.
