Purpose: The proposed project would widen the two lanes to a four-lane divided roadway to improve traffic flow and enhance vehicular, pedestrian, and bicycle travel safety. The proposed project would also include intersection and access improvements to San Gabriel Park and the construction of a shared-use path for pedestrians and bicycles.

Purpose: The City of Georgetown is proposing improvements to this segment of SH 29 to address increasing traffic volumes due to growth in in the area. The proposed project would widen the existing two lanes to a four-lane divided roadway to improve traffic flow and enhance safety for vehicular, pedestrian, and bicycle travel.
