Hi John,
Here we are again. It’s Presidents’ Day, which means another holiday that celebrates a selective version of American history. For many working people, it means one more day to rest, recover, and spend time with loved ones. But if I’m honest, it’s hard to look up from a campaign like ours that is so focused on bold, new ideas, and realize we are still living in a world mostly run by the status quo.
This campaign is about a lot more than challenging one man in the Oval Office and the foul ideas he represents. But when Trump was elected, it was a turning point for millions of people across this country, who woke up to the urgency of our political movements. Since 2016, I’ve met a lot of amazing candidates who are running for political office for the very first time because they believe that we deserve better. I am one of them.
I know we can represent a new generation of progressive leaders, but only if our constituents and supporters across the country are willing to take the same leap of faith we did. John, if every person who opened this email gave just $20.20 to sustain our movement, we would be in a prime position to win this race.
And maybe then, our future could look a little more like this: |
