Hi John.

I hope you can join me tomorrow for my next Call with your Congresswoman. This is an opportunity to ask me your questions! We’ll begin at about 6:00 PM CT on Thursday, July 20th.

I know Kansas families are struggling with higher prices on everything from gas to groceries these days. I’m looking forward to answering your questions on our economy, how we can lower costs, and so much more.

Please click here now to sign up for our call list so you don’t miss out. Listening to you always helps me do a better job.

I know a lot of folks are having a tough time these days. Inflation hurts everyone, including people living on fixed incomes like my mom.

Before retiring, she served in the Army for twenty years and worked at the Postal Service. She raised my brothers and me on her own. No one should have their budget squeezed even more.

Thankfully, we’re also seeing some good news that we can build on. For example, our economy created a record-breaking 13 million jobs over the last two years. We're also seeing progress locally. Panasonic's new battery plant in De Soto means thousands of new, good-paying jobs.

I worked closely with Governor Kelly and leaders in both parties like Senator Jerry Moran to help attract Panasonic’s $4 billion investment to our region. I was glad to recently tour the Panasonic site with De Soto Mayor Rick Walker.

To keep moving forward, I’m focused on concrete and bipartisan solutions to lower prices. That’s why I voted to cap the cost of insulin for seniors on Medicare and to let Medicare negotiate for lower prescription drug prices. I also voted to reduce our dependence on foreign oil and helped pass a major, bipartisan manufacturing law so we can fix our supply chains and make more products here in Kansas, not China.

I’m focused on building an economy that works for everyone, especially for folks in the middle- and working-classes. There’s no question that we have a lot more to do, so I hope to hear more about your concerns tomorrow during our call. If you’d like to take part, please make sure to join our call list.

If you’re unable to attend, please know that my door is always open to you. Please feel free to contact my office to share your concerns or ask questions.

And if you’re having a hard time with higher prices on gas, groceries, housing, and more, please visit davids.house.gov/lowercosts. My team recently updated our web page with resources to help Kansas families.

We’re always here for you, regardless of party.

My warmest regards,
