ATTEND SENTENCING OF FAISAL ALEZZE WHO ATTACKED JOSEPH BORGEN FOR WEARING A KIPPAH

Tomorrow, Thursday, July 20^th is the sentencing of Faisal Alezzi, a member of the Arab gang who savagely beat Joseph Borgen on a street in Manhattan because Joey Borgen was wearing a yarmulke/kippah.

When: 9:30 AM

Where: 100 Centre St., Part 62, on the 11th floor, at 9:30 a.m.

Why: As of his last hearing, Alezzi is getting a mere slap on the wrist plea deal (3 years' probation and sensitivity training), for his role in the vicious assault on Joey Borgen. Joey was beaten with fists and a crutch, kicked and pepper-sprayed, while the assaulters shouted antisemitic epithets. Joey was hospitalized with serious injuries. We were informed that Alezzi and others involved in the assault are involved in “Within Our Lifetime,” an organization that holds rallies inciting violence against Jews, and calls for a “global intifada” against Jews.  Please come to the sentencing to show that our community demands justice for the antisemitic attack on Joey Borgen.

What else you can do:  

(1)   Please call D.A. Alvin Bragg's office (212-335-9000) and tell him that Faisal Alezzi and all of the others who attacked Joey Borgen must be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.   

(2)   Come to the trial of three other gang members who assaulted Joey Borgen, which is scheduled to commence on August 1st.  (More details will be sent when these are available.) 

(3)   Demand law enforcement investigations of “Within Our Lifetime.”
