I haven’t spent my life dreaming about running for Congress. Now, I am sure winning this race and putting my skills into serving Alaskans and our nation is meant to happen.

As a child, I saw abuse and addiction in my family and focused on breaking the cycle. I worked hard, went to college, and raised my four kids here in Alaska. That’s how I accomplished my dreams.

But I can’t sit on the sidelines as the chaos in Washington and dysfunction in Juneau hurt hardworking Alaska families, and especially our children. I want every Alaskan child to have the opportunity to accomplish their dreams. That’s why I’m running for Congress.

We’re running an inclusive grassroots campaign because everyone has something to contribute. On our campaign, we have parents who bring their kids to work, and we recently held a family-friendly fundraiser in Anchorage.

I want all Alaska families to feel a part of our movement because I will be their champion in Washington.
