Last week, the House voted to pass the National Defense Authorization Act – a traditionally bipartisan bill that sets the agenda and authorizes funding for the Department of Defense. This year, instead of putting our servicemembers first, the Republican members of the House have let the most extreme members of their party dictate our military’s policies.

Instead of allocating funds for programs that will better our country and boost our military, Republicans have inserted partisan provisions that will deprive servicemembers of reproductive care – including abortions – and curb diversity, equity and inclusion programs across the military.

This is unacceptable. Chris has always believed that we as Americans have a sacred duty to our servicemembers – and that duty must be upheld in all areas, including health care.

The provisions of the NDAA would represent a massive step back in progress for our country. As this bill moves up to the Senate, Chris is more than ready to oppose the extreme House bill, and he needs to know he can count on your support.
