John,

We might not hear about them as much as the statewide and presidential races, but Washington has critical local elections coming up!

We’ve endorsed environmental champions running for local positions across the state, from the port commissioners to county council members. You can check out our full list of endorsements here.

Local leadership affects our everyday lives. They decide climate policy for our communities so we need to make sure that the people we elect fight for environmental justice.

Our goal is to elect leaders who demonstrate a strong connection to environmental justice at a time when the climate crisis continues to threaten families across the state.

That’s why I’m reaching out today to make sure you’re registered to vote.

You can check your voter registration status or register to vote right here, it only takes a few minutes!

Not eligible to vote? You can still participate in your democracy in two crucial ways:

  • Add your name to a call to action. Your voice is critical to letting our elected leaders know where we stand.
  • Sign up to volunteer with WCA. From making phone calls to connecting with legislators, cleaning up local rivers, and more, volunteers are critical to our work.

Thank you for doing your part!
