We'll be screening the 2019 film Knock Down the House which details the candidacy and campaign of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for the 14th congressional district of the U.S. House of Representatives. This film highlights the ways grassroots mobilization can be successful in winning electoral victories even in the face of powerful opposition. We hope a shared screening of this film will give us the opportunity to reflect on both the challenges and community building potential that can be realized through electoral campaigns.?
