Friend, since 2023 began, our nation has suffered through 390 mass shootings.

Tragically, 22 of those shootings happened over the Fourth of July weekend – where 20 people were killed and 126 people were injured. 

Friend, is this the new reality of our nation? Will it remain true that, even on the one day of the year that we're meant to join together in a celebration of patriotism, we still cannot find relief from the rampant gun violence epidemic?

This year we have lost over 1,000 minors to gun violence – a truly inconceivable number. But tragically, political inaction and the gun lobby have allowed this kind of unfathomable loss to become our new normal. Enough is enough.

I vow to always be a vote for commonsense gun safety reforms – because the lives of our loved ones are more important than the deep pockets of the gun lobby. And I'm not alone in my call for these reforms.

Polls show that around 90% of Americans support comprehensive background checks – because we are all sick and tired of watching tragedy after tragedy roll in. That's why I know that we have the numbers to win the fight for gun safety – but I need you to commit yourself to this fight.
