John,

We have an important vote tomorrow in the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Chief Justice John Roberts failed to act on a code of conduct for Supreme Court Justices—even in the midst of a wave of headlines about alleged misconduct. So our Committee will mark up and vote on the Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal, and Transparency Act tomorrow.

I know you can’t be in the Senate with us tomorrow, but you can make your voice heard right now. Add your name now to support long-overdue Supreme Court ethics reform.

Our legislation aims to do three things to restore Americans’ confidence in the Supreme Court:

1. Adopt a strong code of ethical conduct for Supreme Court Justices to follow
2. Institute procedures to properly investigate violations and enforce the rules
3. Require disclosure on conflicts of interest and full transparency on recusals

Every other federal judge is sworn to abide by a high bar of ethical standards, but lifetime appointees to the Supreme Court don’t follow the same rules.

Tomorrow, when we mark up this bill and send it to the full Senate, I want to be able to show my colleagues the vast amount of support across the country for Supreme Court ethics reform.

Will you sign on now to join us in this historic push?
