Folks, Alabama Republicans must think they’re slick.

After the Supreme Court tossed out their original congressional map for diluting Black voting power and violating the Voting Rights Act, the court ordered a new map be drawn that includes at least two Black-majority districts to more fairly represent Black Alabamians.

Well, the special legislative session to redraw the map started this week, and Alabama Republicans quickly submitted a new map… with only one Black-majority district.

They are treating our democracy like a sick game, and we’ve had enough — that’s why our grantees in Alabama are fighting non-stop to make sure the tricks coming from the Alabama GOP don’t go unchallenged.

Can you rush a donation right now to help? The deadline for submitting Alabama’s map is this Friday, meaning we only have a few days left to make an impact.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Thank you,
