“Frost calls out GOP silence on Greene’s ‘not a mother’ attack”

During a committee hearing, Marjorie Taylor Greene attacked non-biological parents as not being “real parents” to their children.

My mom and dad adopted me at birth. They are my parents.

But let’s be honest: The far right already knows that. This disgusting rhetoric isn’t rooted in any real beliefs. Republicans love to claim that they’re the party of “traditional family values”, when in reality, they’re the party of hypocrisy.

Here’s the truth, John: If Marjorie Taylor Greene and Republicans actually cared about children and parents, they wouldn’t be letting children get shot at school or banning life-saving care for trans youth.

They’ll try to belittle and intimidate me for speaking out, but I won’t stay silent when they attack my family and other families across the country.

As long as I’m in Congress, I’ll call out Republican hypocrisy when I see it, no matter what attacks they might throw back at me. But attacks aren’t all they’ll throw – these hypocrites have mega-rich friends who will spend millions to get me out of their way.
