I'm not afraid of the NRA or gun manufacturers or even the Supreme Court saying we're wrong. I'm afraid of doing nothing

Hi John,

You know those anti-gun violence shirts that say, "policy & change"? Well that's what we are delivering right here in Maryland.

I refuse to be a governor who simply attends funerals and memorials. Who every time we lose someone to gun violence only puts out a pleasantly-worded tweet.

That's why in my first legislative session, I worked with our state representatives and senators to pass historic anti-gun violence legislation. We said no, you cannot bring a gun into a nursery or a school or a government building.

The NRA immediately sued us.

I'm not afraid of the NRA or gun manufacturers saying we're wrong. I'm afraid of doing nothing. Of continuing to lose people to senseless violence.

I know the NRA isn't going to let this go. And so we can't either – that's why I'm asking you to pitch in $25. Every little bit ensures we can keep up this critical fight to save lives.
