2024 State Convention

Mark your calendars! The road to the 2024 elections is an opportunity for every member of the Washington State Republican Party to engage, participate, and make a difference. Here are the key dates you need to know:

Precinct Caucuses – January 13, 2024: Precinct caucuses are the grassroots level of our political process. This is your first opportunity to get involved in the 2024 election cycle. Meet your Republican neighbors, discuss Party platform, and elect delegates to the County Conventions. Please contact your county party to get involved! More alerts and notifications will inform you as we get closer to the date of our precinct caucuses.

County Conventions – January 20 – March 16, 2024 (exact dates to be determined by individual counties): Elected delegates from the precinct caucuses will gather at their respective County Conventions. Here, they will elect delegates to the State Convention and address county-specific issues.

State Convention – April 18-20, 2024: At the State Convention, delegates from across Washington will come together to endorse candidates for state and federal offices, pass a party platform, and select delegates to represent Washington at the National Convention. This event will play a crucial role in shaping the direction of the Party for the upcoming elections.

National Convention – July 15-18, 2024: Chosen delegates will then attend the National Convention, where they will participate in the selection of the Party’s Presidential nominee, helping shape the national platform, and strategizing for the General Election.

Ballot Initiatives

Help qualify these six Initiatives for the 2024 ballot! Washington State has an initiative process so that the citizens can directly influence the laws of our state. Democrats have brought us so many bad policies that have reduced public safety, increased the cost of living, and destroyed parental rights - and we need your help to ensure our state can get back on the right track!

Find a signature location near you and add your name to help us qualify these six Initiatives:

Public Safety:

I-2113: Reasonable Police Pursuit

This measure would remove certain restrictions on when peace officers may engage in vehicular pursuits. Such pursuits would be allowed when the officer has a reasonable suspicion a person has violated the law, pursuit is necessary to identify or apprehend the person, the person poses a threat to the safety of others, those safety risks are greater than those of the pursuit, and a supervisor authorizes the pursuit. Cost of Living:

I-2117: Stop the Hidden Gas Tax

This measure would prohibit state agencies from imposing any type of carbon tax credit trading, uncluding 'cap and trade' or 'cap and tax' programs, regardless of whether the resulting increased costs are imposed on fuel recipients or fuel suppliers. It would repeal sections of the 2021 Washington Climate Commitment Act as amended, including repealing the creation and modification of a 'cap and invest' program to reduce gas emissions by specific entities.
